Whenever we stay in Panama City, we book a room at Saba Hotel. The location is perfect to get an Uber (or metered taxi), close to many restaurants as well as supermarkets. The area is safe to walk around in and suits our needs perfectly. The staff are very helpful and friendly although many do not speak any English including some reception staff members. But if you use your translator app then you will be fine. There is a small new restaurant on the premises but no meals are included in the room rate. There are many places/restaurants in the area so food will not be a concern. The hotel is older now and could do with some maintenance but we still love to stay here because of its location and staff. The rate is very good and hard to beat in the area. The room offered a king-sized bed within a large and comfortable room. The room is quite simple with a small fridge and hairdryer. The room and bathroom were clean and everything worked. The TV only offers two or three English channels whilst the other channels are all Spanish. The air conditioner worked perfectly in our room which was wonderful.
